Meet Our Sewing Technician - Mike Bellamy
Mike retired recently after 38 years at Chase Design as a senior model maker. He operated and maintained various large and small machinery and power tools as well as order materials and supplies for the shop. He fabricated thousands of prototypes of newly designed products from hearing aids to a full scale locomotive cabs. In his spare time, he worked at his wife, Linda’s company “Quilted to a Tee” repairing and servicing the long arm, embroidery and several other machines used to keep her business humming. Mike also refurbished and sold singer featherweight 221 sewing machines and offered service, parts, repair and custom repainting.
Mike will be adding, to his already extensive experience by getting his Bernina certification the last week of January. He will be our second certified Bernina technician joining managing owner Jolene Fitch.
Sewing Machine Repairs
Does your machine need cleaning, tune-up, or repair?
Bring in your machine (ANY MODEL); we have a machine technician on site with years of experience and will be certified with Bernina by February 3, 2023.
In addition, managing member of the shop, Jolene Fitch is a Bernina certified Technician.
What do we require you to bring?
A $50 bench fee is required when you drop your machine off for service. This will be applied to the Service transaction when you pick up your machine.
Please bring your machine, power cord, foot pedal, bobbin, a foot that can do zig-zag stitches, and for embroidery machines please bring a foot that you use for embroidery.
How much does it cost?
All machines are now $109.99 to diagnose issues, clean, oil and adjust. Extra parts and labor may be needed but will always be discussed with you prior to repair. Your bench fee will be put towards your total balance.
We service most sewing machine brands especially Bernina Machines.
